Registration Overview

This is a one-time flow and will only take a few short minutes.

The registration process for Staffblox is designed to be straightforward, guiding you through the essential steps to get your school set up. This overview will walk you through each stage, from creating your account to adding your staff members.

Creating your account

To get started with StaffBlox, go to app.staffblox.com and enter your name, email address, and a password. No credit card is required to get started.

Once you submit the form you will receive a confirmation email. Click the link in that email to verify your address and activate your account.

Important: So long as you’ve created your school and admin contact account, everything else that follows in the registration flow can be done at a later time, so don’t be overly concerned.

Setting up your organization

After confirming your email you will be taken through a short setup flow:

  1. Organization name — Enter the name of your school or program. This appears on reports and schedule exports.
  2. Program type — Select whether you are running a daycare, an aftercare program, or both.
  3. Time zone — Choose your local time zone so that schedule times display correctly for your team.

Set up your school year

After setting up your organization, you’ll define your school year. This involves setting a start and end date for your academic sessions. Typically, schools create a “School year” session and a separate “Summer session.” However, administrators have the flexibility to configure these sessions to best match their specific annual structure.

Add your classroom and staff

Once your organization is created, you can start by defining the classrooms you have. This involves naming each classroom (e.g., “Kindergarten A”, “Room 101”) and associating them with your school’s structure. You don’t need to go into extensive detail at this stage, just establish the basic classroom framework.

After setting up your classrooms, you can then proceed to add staff from the Staff section in the main navigation. For each staff member you will enter:

Staff members receive an invitation email and can access their schedule without needing their own StaffBlox login unless you give them full access.

Finishing up

Once the Staffblox system has all the key information (your school, admin contact, school year, and initial classrooms/staff), you are ready to proceed into the Scheduling view. This is the main view the administrator will always be in, where you can manage and build your schedules.
